Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 LCD Edition Debuts With Up to 34 Hours of Battery Life
Lenovo has introduced a new LCD version of the Xiaoxin Air 14 in China, giving buyers another option alongside the existing OLED model. The biggest highlight is its impressive rated battery life: up to 34 hours on a single charge.
That figure is notably higher than the OLED version’s claimed 19-hour runtime, even though both models use the same 65Wh battery. The difference likely comes down to the display, as the LCD panel is generally more power-efficient than the brighter OLED screen used in the other variant.
The new Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 features a 14-inch LCD display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. It reaches up to 400 nits of peak brightness and includes an anti-glare coating, which should make it more comfortable to use in bright indoor settings or near windows.
Compared with the OLED version, the LCD model does make a few display-related compromises. The OLED variant offers a much higher peak brightness rating of 1,100 nits and supports a more premium visual experience. The LCD edition also does not come with HDR certification. However, users who prioritize battery life, portability, and everyday productivity may find the LCD model more practical.
Lenovo has kept the same slim and lightweight design that makes the Xiaoxin Air 14 appealing. The laptop measures as thin as 12.9mm and weighs just 1.14kg, or around 2.51 pounds. That makes it a strong option for students, office workers, and frequent travelers who want a compact laptop with long battery endurance.
Inside, the Xiaoxin Air 14 LCD edition is powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors. Lenovo lists two processor options: the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V and the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V. Both versions are paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory.
For now, Lenovo is initially offering the Core Ultra 5 226V configuration, which comes with a 512GB SSD. The storage can be upgraded, giving users more flexibility if they need additional space for files, apps, media, or work projects. However, the RAM is soldered, so buyers should be aware that memory upgrades will not be possible later.
In China, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 LCD version with the Core Ultra 5 226V processor is priced at CNY 6,299, which is roughly $929. Lenovo has not yet confirmed whether this exact model will launch globally. If it does arrive in international markets, it may appear under the IdeaPad Slim branding.
