Lenovo Unveils Legion Pro and LOQ Laptops Featuring 115W GeForce RTX 5070 12GB Graphics

A higher-VRAM version of the GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU may be on the way, and Lenovo’s upcoming gaming laptops are fueling the speculation.

New Lenovo product listings have surfaced showing an “NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7” configuration. That’s notable because the RTX 5070 Laptop GPU is typically associated with 8GB of VRAM. If these listings are accurate, this would represent a 4GB increase in graphics memory, potentially achieved by using 3GB GDDR7 memory modules.

This isn’t the first time an RTX 5070 mobile part has appeared with 12GB in product pages. Earlier sightings were widely dismissed as possible typos, but Lenovo listing the same 12GB specification again is what’s turning heads. Still, without an official announcement, it remains unclear whether this is a real upgraded GPU being supplied to laptop manufacturers or simply marketing documentation mistakes.

According to the listings, four Lenovo gaming laptops are expected to feature the 12GB RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. Two models are part of the Lenovo LOQ lineup, while the other two belong to the Legion Pro 5 family. The entries also mention a 115W TDP, which stands out because current RTX 5070 laptop configurations commonly operate within the 50W to 100W range. If the 115W figure is correct, it could point to a higher-power version intended for better sustained performance.

Some specifications appear consistent across the listings, including a stated boost clock of 2347 MHz and similar references to AI capabilities. However, at least one product page for the Legion Pro 5 16ADR10 contains conflicting details. It lists 988 AI TOPS instead of the more typical 798 AI TOPS, and it shows a 1425 MHz clock that matches what’s generally considered the base clock rather than the boost clock. Those mismatches raise the possibility that some of the posted specs are incorrect or placeholders.

For now, the most important takeaway is that multiple Lenovo listings clearly reference an RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 12GB of GDDR7 memory, and the laptops are expected to launch toward the end of April. If Lenovo’s final retail specs confirm the 12GB VRAM and 115W power target, this could become a particularly appealing RTX 5070 gaming laptop option for players who want extra VRAM headroom for modern games, higher-resolution textures, and heavier workloads.
