A quarter of a century has passed since the iconic ThinkPad T series made its debut, originally under the IBM brand. Fast forward 25 years, and Lenovo is still redefining this legendary line with innovative advancements. Introducing the groundbreaking Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1, the first convertible model in the T series that offers tablet-like features, effectively succeeding the ThinkPad X13 2-in-1. Complementing this release, Lenovo also refreshes the classic ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 with cutting-edge Intel processors from the Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake families.
The ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 unveils an exciting chapter for Lenovo, expanding the exclusive offerings previously dominated by the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 with its 14-inch convertible appeal. This latest model effectively scales up the X13 2-in-1, boasting a solid magnesium chassis that combines the sturdy elegance of the T14s and X13 designs. Despite its sleek look, the T14s 2-in-1 packs a punch with its robust form and weighs in at 1.4 kg, reinforcing its presence as a substantial device.
In terms of performance, this versatile convertible is outfitted with Intel’s Arrow Lake H and Arrow Lake U processors and offers a remarkable memory option of up to 64 GB of soldered LPDDR5X RAM. Its comprehensive connectivity features include 5G/LTE, Wi-Fi 7, USB-A, and HDMI ports, alongside a high-definition 5 Mpix webcam, delivering a versatile package for modern needs. The device maintains a practical 58 Wh battery capacity, while the matte WUXGA IPS screens provide up to 500 cd/m² brightness, ensuring clear visuals in various lighting conditions. A digitizer pen, an essential accessory for ThinkPad convertibles, attaches magnetically to the screen for convenience.
Lenovo continues to push technological boundaries with the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6, now featuring the latest Intel CPUs. Previously available with Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs and AMD Ryzen AI, the Gen 6 receives an Intel boost with options including Arrow Lake U, Arrow Lake H, and Lunar Lake processors. Enhancements don’t stop there; the screen brightness is now elevated to 500 cd/m² across most panels, and the OLED screen benefits from Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support. Notably, while Arrow Lake configurations support up to 64 GB RAM, Lunar Lake versions are capped at 32 GB.
Anticipation grows as Lenovo announces that the T14s Gen 6 models equipped with Intel processors will be available starting in June, with a base price of €2,000, excluding taxes. More affordable editions are expected to follow, starting at €1,500. Meanwhile, the innovative T14s 2-in-1 is set to debut in June, offering versatility and performance at a starting price of €1,650.
