Lenovo Teases OLED Legion Tablet Specs as Launch Nears

Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite gaming tablet gets new specs ahead of launch

Lenovo is getting ready to introduce its next compact gaming tablet in China, and the latest details make the Legion Y700 Infinite look like a serious option for mobile gamers who want flagship-level performance in a smaller form factor.

The upcoming Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite has already been confirmed to feature an 8.4-inch OLED display with a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. That combination should make the tablet especially appealing for fast-paced games, cloud gaming, streaming, and high-refresh everyday use. With an OLED panel, users can also expect deep blacks, strong contrast, and vibrant colors, which should help improve both gaming and media viewing.

One of the biggest highlights is the chipset. Lenovo has previously confirmed that the Legion Y700 Infinite will use an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That makes it stand out from competing tablets using the standard version of the chip. According to Lenovo’s teasers, the device is capable of scoring more than 4.5 million points on AnTuTu, suggesting that the tablet is being tuned for top-tier performance.

Lenovo has now shared even more details about the device. The Legion Y700 Infinite will come with a dual-speaker setup, and the teaser images suggest that the speakers are designed to deliver powerful audio. For a gaming tablet, strong built-in sound can make a noticeable difference, especially for users who do not always want to rely on headphones.

Another practical upgrade is the inclusion of dual USB-C ports. This feature could be especially useful for gamers, as it allows users to charge the tablet while keeping a wired accessory connected at the same time. For example, players can use wired audio, controllers, or other peripherals without giving up charging access during long sessions.

Battery life is also a key part of the new reveal. Lenovo has confirmed that the Legion Y700 Infinite will pack a 7,470mAh battery. While this is slightly smaller than some larger gaming tablets, it makes sense given the Y700 Infinite’s more compact 8.4-inch design. Lenovo claims the tablet can last up to 20.64 hours when streaming online video on a full charge.

Fast charging support is another major plus. The Legion Y700 Infinite supports 68W charging, and Lenovo says it can reach 80% battery in just 30 minutes. The tablet also supports bypass charging, an important feature for gamers because it allows power to go directly to the device instead of constantly charging the battery. This can help reduce heat and battery wear during extended gaming sessions.

At the moment, Lenovo has not revealed the official price of the Legion Y700 Infinite. However, the launch is very close. The gaming tablet is scheduled to debut in China on August 25, 2026. There is still no confirmed information about a global release, so international buyers will need to wait for further announcements.

With an OLED 165Hz display, an overclocked Snapdragon flagship chip, dual USB-C ports, fast charging, bypass charging, and a compact gaming-focused design, the Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite is shaping up to be one of the most interesting Android gaming tablets of 2026.
