Lenovo Takes on Surface Pro 12 Globally With 5G-Ready 120Hz Tablet PC

Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 launches internationally with Wi-Fi 7 and optional 5G

Lenovo has expanded the availability of the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1, a premium Windows detachable designed for users who want the flexibility of a tablet with the productivity features of a laptop. Positioned as a serious rival to Microsoft’s Surface Pro lineup, the device is now appearing in multiple international markets with high-end connectivity, a sharp display, and business-focused hardware options.

One of the key highlights of the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 is its memory configuration. Lenovo previously confirmed that the device would be offered with 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM. However, the 64 GB RAM model does not appear to be available for purchase in current listings yet. Storage options are more widely available, with buyers able to choose between 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, depending on the market and configuration.

Connectivity is another major selling point. Every configuration includes Wi-Fi 7, giving the detachable support for the latest wireless networking standard. For users who need mobile connectivity while traveling or working away from Wi-Fi, Lenovo also offers an optional Qualcomm Snapdragon X61 5G modem with Sub-6 GHz 5G support.

The display is built for productivity and creative work. Lenovo has equipped the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 with a 13-inch IPS panel featuring a 2,880 x 1,920 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. That taller screen format is especially useful for reading documents, browsing the web, editing spreadsheets, and multitasking. The panel also delivers up to 500 nits of brightness, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and full 100% sRGB color coverage.

Power comes from a 45 Wh battery, which is standard across the lineup. While Lenovo has not positioned this as a budget device, the specifications suggest it is aimed at professionals, business users, and anyone looking for a portable detachable PC with modern connectivity and a premium display.

International pricing starts at AUD 3,249 in Australia, between €3,599 and €3,680 in parts of Europe, and £3,150 in the UK, which is roughly around $4,239. Pricing and configuration availability may vary by region, especially for memory, storage, and 5G options.

With Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G, a high-resolution 120 Hz display, and up to 1 TB of fast PCIe 4.0 storage, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 is shaping up as a strong premium detachable PC for users who want portability without giving up professional-grade features.
