Lenovo has expanded its latest LOQ Essential gaming laptop lineup internationally, bringing the new LOQ Essential 15ARP11 to several major markets with upgraded Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series graphics and improved battery life.
The Lenovo LOQ Essential 15ARP11 appears to focus on affordable gaming performance rather than a complete redesign. Its processor performance is expected to remain roughly in line with the previous generation, meaning the biggest upgrade this time comes from the GPU options. Lenovo has replaced the older GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 3050A, and RTX 4050 configurations with newer GeForce RTX 5050 and GeForce RTX 5060 laptop graphics.
The Ryzen 7 170 model can be paired with either the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 or RTX 5060, both equipped with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM. These GPUs run at 65 W TGP, so they may not deliver the maximum possible performance of Nvidia’s latest laptop graphics chips, but they should still offer a meaningful boost over older entry-level RTX options. For gamers looking for a budget gaming laptop that can handle modern titles at 1080p, the LOQ Essential 15ARP11 could be a strong option.
Lenovo has also improved battery capacity. The new model features a 60 Wh battery, up from 57.5 Wh in the previous version. According to Lenovo’s figures, this helps extend local 1080p video playback to around 12.9 hours, compared with about 10.5 hours on the earlier model. That represents an increase of more than 22%, which could make the laptop more appealing for students, casual gamers, and users who want a machine that can handle both gaming and daily productivity.
The display appears to remain largely unchanged. Buyers still get a 15-inch 1080p panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of peak brightness, and 100% sRGB color coverage. While it may not be a premium high-resolution screen, the combination of Full HD resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate is well suited to this class of gaming laptop, especially when paired with RTX 5050 or RTX 5060 graphics.
Pricing varies by region. The Lenovo LOQ Essential 15ARP11 with GeForce RTX 5050 starts at AUD 2,799 in Australia, HKD 9,959 in Hong Kong, MYR 5,577 in Malaysia, NZD 2,649 in New Zealand, and SGD 1,838 in Singapore. In Europe, pricing ranges from €1,599 to €1,809 depending on the market and configuration. In the UK, the laptop starts at £1,360 including VAT.
For users who want the more powerful GeForce RTX 5060 configuration, Lenovo currently charges an upgrade fee of around £80 in the UK or €100 in select European markets.
Overall, the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15ARP11 looks like a practical refresh rather than a dramatic overhaul. The move to RTX 50 series laptop GPUs, 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and a slightly larger battery should make it more competitive in the affordable gaming laptop market, especially for buyers focused on 1080p gaming, everyday performance, and longer battery life.
