iQoo is reportedly preparing a new compact gaming tablet powered by next-gen Snapdragon performance
iQoo may be getting ready to expand its tablet lineup with a new gaming-focused device, and early leaks suggest it could be one of the most exciting compact Android tablets of 2026.
The company recently introduced the iQoo Pad 6 Pro as its flagship tablet, featuring a large 13.2-inch display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Now, fresh information from a well-known Weibo tipster suggests iQoo is working on another high-end tablet, but this time with a more portable design aimed at gamers.
According to the leak, the upcoming device is being described as a “mini” gaming tablet. While the exact screen size has not been revealed, the wording points to a smaller form factor than iQoo’s current flagship tablet. This could make it a direct competitor to compact gaming tablets with displays around the 8- to 9-inch range, a size many mobile gamers prefer for better grip, lighter weight, and easier portability.
The most interesting detail is the chipset. The new iQoo gaming tablet is tipped to use Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship Snapdragon processor. Qualcomm is expected to introduce its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series later this year, and the lineup may reportedly include two versions: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
Both chips are expected to bring major performance upgrades, including a new Oryon CPU architecture and a 2+3+3 CPU cluster layout. They are also rumored to be built on a 4nm process, which could help improve efficiency while delivering stronger gaming performance, smoother multitasking, and better thermal control.
At this stage, it is still unclear whether iQoo’s compact gaming tablet will use the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 or the more powerful Pro version. Either way, the device appears to be positioned as a premium Android gaming tablet rather than a budget-friendly entertainment slate.
