HMD Pulse 2T Pro Leak Reveals OLED Display, 6,000mAh Battery, and a Rear Secondary Screen
HMD could be preparing to expand its Pulse smartphone lineup with a new model that looks far more ambitious than previous entries. A fresh leak suggests the upcoming HMD Pulse 2T Pro may arrive with a large OLED display, a big battery, upgraded cameras, and one standout feature: a small secondary display on the back.
The HMD Pulse series first appeared in 2024, but the company has yet to release a true follow-up. While rumors about a second-generation Pulse lineup have circulated for some time, the newly leaked HMD Pulse 2T Pro appears to be one of the most interesting models in the works.
According to details shared online, the HMD Pulse 2T Pro is expected to feature a 6.68-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. That combination should make the phone appealing for users who want better contrast, richer colors, and more fluid scrolling compared with standard LCD displays.
Powering the device is reportedly the MediaTek Helio G100 processor. This is a 4G chipset designed for everyday smartphone use, including social media, video streaming, photography, and casual gaming. While it may not target flagship-level performance, it should be capable enough for users looking for a reliable mid-range smartphone experience.
The leak claims the HMD Pulse 2T Pro will be available in a single memory configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. That amount of storage should be generous for apps, photos, videos, and offline media, while 8GB of RAM should help with multitasking and keeping apps open in the background.
Camera hardware also appears to be a key focus. The phone is said to include a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization, which could help reduce blur in photos and improve low-light shooting. It may also come with an 8MP secondary rear camera, likely for ultrawide, depth, or macro photography, depending on HMD’s final configuration.
On the front, the HMD Pulse 2T Pro is expected to feature another 50MP camera for selfies and video calls. If accurate, this could make the device attractive to users who regularly create content, join video meetings, or want sharper front-facing photos.
Battery life could be another major selling point. The HMD Pulse 2T Pro is reportedly equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, which is larger than what many modern smartphones offer. Combined with a 4G processor and efficient OLED panel, the phone could deliver strong endurance for heavy users. Charging is said to top out at 33W wired charging.
The leaked specification sheet also points to an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H compliance for added durability, dual speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Android 17 out of the box. If these details are correct, HMD may be positioning the Pulse 2T Pro as a durable mid-range phone with a more premium feature set.
The most eye-catching detail, however, is the small rear display placed near the camera module. Leaked images reportedly show the display being used to show notifications, including unread messages or emails. The design appears similar to a mini ticker-style screen, giving users a quick way to check alerts without turning the phone over.
It is not yet clear what else the rear screen can do. HMD could use it for notifications, charging status, incoming calls, camera countdowns, music controls, or other glanceable information. If the company adds meaningful customization options, this secondary display could help the Pulse 2T Pro stand out in a crowded mid-range smartphone market.
The HMD Pulse 2T Pro is expected to launch in three color options: Temper Blue, Titanium, and Orbit Green. These finishes suggest HMD may be aiming for a more stylish and modern look, especially if paired with the distinctive rear display design.
For now, HMD has not officially confirmed the Pulse 2T Pro or announced a launch date. Still, the leaked specifications point to a smartphone that could attract attention with its 120Hz OLED display, large 6,000mAh battery, 50MP cameras, durable build, and unique rear notification screen.
If the leak proves accurate and pricing is competitive, the HMD Pulse 2T Pro could become one of the more interesting affordable smartphones to watch.
