Leak Suggests Motorola Is Preparing a FIFA 2026 World Cup Edition Razr (2025)

A new leak suggests Motorola is gearing up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a special edition of its clamshell foldable: the Motorola Razr 2025 (also known as the Razr 60 in some markets). With the tournament set to kick off in June 2026 across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, this themed phone looks like an early tease of Motorola’s World Cup plans.

The leaked render shows a Motorola Razr 2025 FIFA World Cup Edition featuring a bold multicolor design built around three shades of green plus cyan, giving it a more energetic, tournament-inspired look than the standard models. Branding on the lower portion of the device includes the FIFA World Cup 2026 logo, along with the text “Official Smartphone Partner.” The special edition is also expected to include a custom wallpaper that matches the tournament’s distinctive type style, tying the software visuals to the hardware theme.

For now, it’s unclear whether this World Cup Razr will be widely sold. However, the leak claims Motorola will give away five units through a sweepstakes during CES 2026 in January. On top of that, the promotion is said to include World Cup tickets, which could make this one of the more desirable event giveaways for football fans and foldable phone collectors alike.

Aside from the exclusive color scheme and themed customizations, the FIFA World Cup Edition should be identical to the regular Motorola Razr 2025 in terms of specs and features. The standard model comes in several Pantone color options, and this special version appears to simply add a tournament-focused finish and branded touches.

In terms of hardware, the Razr 2025 offers a 6.9-inch pOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1080 x 2640 resolution, designed for smooth scrolling and immersive video. On the outside, there’s a 3.6-inch cover display running at 90Hz with a 1056 x 1066 resolution, useful for quick replies, widgets, and notifications without opening the phone.

Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400X processor. The configuration referenced includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while some regions may see higher options reaching up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Camera-wise, the Razr 2025 includes a 50MP main rear camera paired with a 13MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 32MP front-facing camera with 4K recording support, which is still a standout spec for a foldable in this category.

Other key features round out the package: an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi‑Fi 6E, NFC for contactless payments, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a 4,500mAh battery. Charging support includes 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Out of the box, the phone ships with Android 15.

If Motorola does decide to mass-produce the FIFA World Cup Edition, it could become one of the more memorable limited-run foldables tied to a major global sporting event. Until then, CES 2026 may be the only place to see a handful of these devices in the wild—at least at first.
