Leak Reveals When Samsung’s Next Fitness Tracker Could Launch

Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 release window leaks, and it could arrive sooner than expected

Samsung may be preparing to refresh its affordable fitness tracker lineup sooner than many expected. A new leak suggests the Galaxy Fit 4 could launch later this year, giving budget-conscious buyers a new alternative to the company’s more expensive Galaxy Watch models.

The Galaxy Fit series has always focused on simple, practical health and fitness tracking at a lower price. That makes it appealing for users who want features like workout tracking, sleep monitoring, heart rate data, and long battery life without paying smartwatch-level prices.

Samsung took almost four years to release the Galaxy Fit 3 after the Galaxy Fit 2. The Galaxy Fit 3 was announced in February 2024, but its wider availability took longer in some regions. If the latest information is accurate, the gap between the Galaxy Fit 3 and Galaxy Fit 4 will be much shorter.

According to the leak, Samsung is not expected to introduce the Galaxy Fit 4 at its next major Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumored for July. Instead, the fitness tracker may be announced a few months later, possibly around September. It could debut alongside other upcoming Samsung devices, including the expected Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 series.

No detailed Galaxy Fit 4 specifications have been revealed yet, but it will likely build on the strengths of the Galaxy Fit 3. The current model offers a lightweight design, a bright display, and a long-lasting battery that can run for up to two weeks on a single charge. That battery life is one of the biggest advantages of the Galaxy Fit lineup, especially compared with full-featured smartwatches that often need more frequent charging.

The Galaxy Fit 3 can track more than 100 workouts and sports activities, with automatic detection for select exercises. It also includes heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, sleep tracking, and fall detection. These features make it a useful everyday fitness companion for people who want essential health insights without needing a premium smartwatch.

However, the Galaxy Fit series does come with trade-offs. The Galaxy Fit 3 does not run Wear OS, so users cannot install third-party smartwatch apps. It also lacks Wi-Fi, LTE, a microphone, and a speaker. More advanced health tools, such as ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and irregular heart rhythm alerts, are also missing.

That leaves room for Samsung to improve the Galaxy Fit 4. Potential upgrades could include better sensors, improved workout tracking, a brighter display, refined software, or longer battery life. Even small improvements could make the new model more competitive in the affordable fitness tracker market.

When the Galaxy Fit 4 arrives, it will likely compete with budget-friendly wearables from brands such as Amazfit and Redmi. Devices like the Amazfit Bip Max, Amazfit Bip 6, and Redmi Watch 6 already target users who want large displays, health tracking, and strong battery life at accessible prices.

For now, Samsung has not officially confirmed the Galaxy Fit 4 or its launch date. Still, if the rumored September timeframe is correct, fans of the Galaxy Fit lineup may not have to wait much longer for Samsung’s next affordable health and fitness tracker.
