Rayman Legends Retold reportedly set for reveal with Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition included
Rayman fans may finally have a reason to celebrate. A new leak suggests Ubisoft is preparing to bring back one of its most beloved platformers with Rayman Legends Retold, a remake of the critically acclaimed 2013 game. The announcement is reportedly planned for Sony’s State of Play event, where Ubisoft is expected to unveil the project ahead of a 2026 release.
Rayman Legends remains one of the highest-rated entries in the series, earning widespread praise for its creative level design, fast-paced platforming, colorful art style, and memorable co-op gameplay. More than a decade later, Ubisoft is said to be reimagining the game for modern platforms rather than simply releasing a basic remaster.
According to the latest leak from well-known insider billbil_kun, Rayman Legends Retold will feature upgraded visuals along with a mix of 2.5D and 3D gameplay sections. That could make this remake feel more ambitious than a standard graphical refresh, giving longtime fans something new while keeping the charm and rhythm that made the original so popular.
The remake is also expected to include brand-new levels, offering fresh content beyond the original campaign. In addition, the game will reportedly feature new character skins inspired by Astro Bot and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, adding a fun crossover-style bonus for players.
One major change may disappoint some fans. The leak claims Rayman Legends Retold will support local couch co-op for up to four players, but online multiplayer from the older version is reportedly being removed. If accurate, this means players will need to gather in the same room to enjoy co-op, bringing the experience closer to classic party-style platforming but reducing flexibility for those who prefer online play.
The release format is also expected to vary by platform. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is reportedly planned as a game key card, meaning an internet connection will be required for installation. The PlayStation 5 physical edition may also require additional data beyond what is stored on the disc, while the Xbox Series X version is said to be digital-only.
Ubisoft is reportedly sweetening the package by including Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition at no extra cost. This bonus version is expected to be an upgraded edition of the 2011 platformer, likely focused on improved graphics and presentation. Together, the bundle would give players access to two of the most celebrated modern Rayman games in one affordable package.
The rumored release date for Rayman Legends Retold is October 1, 2026. Pricing is expected to be $39.99 in the United States and €39.99 in Europe, making it a relatively budget-friendly release compared to many modern remakes.
If the leak proves accurate, Rayman Legends Retold could be a strong comeback for the franchise. With enhanced visuals, new levels, fresh gameplay elements, and Rayman Origins included, Ubisoft may be aiming to reintroduce Rayman to both longtime fans and a new generation of players. While official confirmation is still needed, the rumored package sounds like a promising celebration of one of gaming’s most charming platforming series.
