This security update addresses 72 vulnerabilities that were identified in past software variants.
Similarly, the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s carrier-locked version is undergoing an update with firmware version F946USQS2BXAD, currently available on Metro PCS and T-Mobile, with expectations that other carriers will follow suit. For the factory-unlocked model of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the update is being provided with firmware version F946U1UES2BXAD across multiple networks, including Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Metro PCS, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile. Users may anticipate additional software features in upcoming updates, such as One UI 6.1, which is slated for release in the subsequent months, though this current update is centered around the security patch.
Due to the security-focused nature of this release, the download size for the February 2024 update is relatively minimal.
