As the eighth mainline entry in Capcom’s iconic horror series, it follows Ethan Winters years after the events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard. Expect an eerie European village, relentless threats around every corner, and a tense fight for survival as the story dives into mystery, monsters, and brutal encounters.

MIO: Memories in Orbit (Cloud, Handheld, PC, Xbox Series X|S) also arrives today, and it launches day one on Game Pass. This hand-crafted metroidvania drops you into a decaying world reclaimed by nature and machines. You play as Mio, a nimble android exploring labyrinth-like environments, battling rogue robots, and piecing together lost memories across a highly atmospheric adventure filled with secrets.

This expanded edition from Kojima Productions puts you back in the boots of Sam Porter Bridges on a mission to reconnect a fractured world and deliver hope—one delivery at a time—through a haunting, unforgettable sci-fi journey.

RoadCraft (PC) launches January 21, focusing on rebuilding after natural disasters. You’ll operate a fleet of more than 40 construction vehicles to clear debris, repair bridges, restore roads, and bring damaged infrastructure back to life. It’s designed around realistic, physics-driven environments and supports solo play or co-op.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) also lands January 21, bringing a fresh side-scrolling chapter to the Ninja Gaiden series. Built by the team behind Blasphemous, it aims to deliver a fast, challenging, classic-style ninja action adventure with modern intensity.

The Talos Principle 2 (PC, Xbox Series X|S) arrives January 27, expanding on the original’s smart first-person puzzle design and philosophical themes. Set in a world where humanity is gone but its culture continues through a city of robots, the journey leads into a mysterious megastructure tied to immense power—and increasingly mind-bending puzzles.

Anno: Mutationem (Cloud, PC, Console) comes to Game Pass on January 28, blending 2D and 3D in a neon cyberpunk setting. You’ll play as Ann, a highly trained fighter navigating a massive metropolis packed with mega-corporations, fringe groups, and strange creatures, mixing action-adventure with RPG elements.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) hits Game Pass on January 29 and brings heavy action and large-scale battles. Step into the role of legendary Space Marine Demetrian Titus to purge Tyranid swarms in a campaign playable solo or in three-player co-op. Indika (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) launches February 2, offering a story-driven adventure set in an alternative 19th-century Russia. It follows a young nun on a surreal journey that blends dark humor with themes like faith, morality, and religious authority, combining exploration, light puzzles, brief action, symbolic RPG elements, and retro-style arcade flashbacks—plus an unusual companion: the devil himself.

Final Fantasy II (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) arrives February 3 as a remodeled 2D version of the classic RPG. The story begins with four young people orphaned by war, drawn into a struggle involving the Palamecian Empire and a rebel force. Along the way, they ally with memorable companions such as Minwu, Prince Gordon, and Leila, facing dramatic turns throughout their journey.

DLC and game updates coming to Game Pass titles

The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle (PC) arrives January 22 for eligible members, celebrating the series with re-releases of The Sims and The Sims 2 via EA Play on the Xbox PC app. MySims: Cozy Bundle also joins The Play List on January 29, keeping the cozy theme going.

Grounded 2 Garden Update (Cloud, PC, Console) launches January 27 with a new Community Garden biome in The Toxic Tangle update. Expect hidden paths, twisting trellises, earthy caverns, new enemies, Tier III gear, and a Ladybug Buggy featuring a water cannon for tackling new challenges.

Dead by Daylight – Stranger Things DLC arrives January 27, bringing Stranger Things back into the fog with Vecna, Dustin, and Eleven.

Sea of Thieves Season 18, Act 2 (Cloud, PC, Console) launches January 22, calling on Emissaries to raid Molten Sands Fortress and recover treasure. Reaching Emissary Grade 5 during the event unlocks a special quest that will awaken the fiery fort—so choose your flag and set sail.

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 31

A handful of titles are rotating out soon, so it’s a good time to wrap up campaigns or grab any final achievements. Departing January 31 are Shady Part of Me, Cataclismo, Starbound, Lonely Mountains Snow Riders, Paw Patrol World, Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap.
