Resident Evil: Death Island Manga Volume 1 Arrives September 29 Ahead of Resident Evil Veronica Remake
Resident Evil fans have another official story to look forward to before Capcom returns to one of the franchise’s most requested classics. Titan Comics and Capcom are set to release Resident Evil: Death Island Volume 1 on September 29, 2026, bringing the 2023 CG-animated film to the page in a new manga adaptation.
Illustrated and written by Zino in collaboration with Capcom and Death Island Film Partners, the first volume will span 224 pages and retell the events of Resident Evil: Death Island in black-and-white manga format. The release gives longtime fans a fresh way to experience the survival horror crossover while anticipation builds for the upcoming Resident Evil Veronica remake, currently expected in 2027.
Set in 2015, Resident Evil: Death Island takes place between Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7. The story brings together several of the series’ most beloved characters, including Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers.
The plot centers on a terrifying bioterror outbreak in San Francisco, with the investigation leading the heroes to Alcatraz Island. What begins as a deadly viral incident quickly escalates into a fight against dangerous new mutations, forcing the team to uncover who is responsible before the infection spreads even further.
