KonoSuba Returns With New 3D RPG Machisuba and Season 4 Anime Confirmation
KonoSuba fans have plenty to look forward to, as Kadokawa has officially revealed a brand-new free-to-play 3D RPG based on KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! The upcoming game is titled KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Prosperity to This Beloved Town!, and it will be known in Japan by the shorter name Machisuba.
The new KonoSuba game is scheduled to launch in Japan in 2026 for iOS, Android, and PC. Pre-registration is already available through the major mobile app stores, giving fans an early chance to sign up before release.
Machisuba was first teased in January 2026 during an anniversary livestream, when it appeared under a temporary title translated as Prosperity for This Beloved City. Kadokawa has now fully unveiled the project, confirming its official name, platforms, returning cast, original story details, and 3D battle system.
The game is being described as an “otherworldly trouble-life RPG,” a fitting label for a series built around fantasy chaos, questionable decision-making, and the hilarious misadventures of Kazuma’s party. Rather than simply retelling the anime or light novel storyline, Machisuba will feature a new original scenario supervised by KonoSuba creator Natsume Akatsuki.
Original series illustrator Kurone Mishima is also involved through visual cooperation, helping preserve the familiar personality and charm of the franchise. Akatsuki has expressed hope that the game’s events will be enjoyable even for solo players, while Mishima shared excitement about seeing Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, Darkness, and the rest of the cast return in this new format.
The main voice cast is also coming back, which should make the new RPG feel immediately familiar to longtime fans. Jun Fukushima returns as Kazuma, Sora Amamiya reprises her role as Aqua, Rie Takahashi is back as Megumin, and Ai Kayano returns as Darkness.
Machisuba will feature fully rendered 3D battles, bringing the party’s over-the-top abilities and comedic fantasy action into a new interactive style. While detailed gameplay systems have not yet been fully explained, the reveal suggests that the game will focus on original adventures, party interactions, and the unpredictable humor that made KonoSuba such a standout isekai series.
The announcement also carries extra weight because it marks the franchise’s return to mobile gaming after the previous KonoSuba smartphone title, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, ended service in early 2025. For many players, Machisuba could become the next major way to experience new KonoSuba content outside the anime and light novels.
Kadokawa has not yet confirmed whether Machisuba will receive a global release. For now, the launch plans are focused on Japan, with the game expected to arrive later in 2026. International fans will likely be watching closely for any future announcements about English-language support or overseas publishing.
