Exciting news has emerged from developer Tripwire Interactive regarding their eagerly anticipated horror shooter sequel, Killing Floor 3. While fans may have to exercise a bit more patience, the delay in its release promises a more refined gaming experience. Originally set to debut in March, Killing Floor 3 is now slated for a launch later this year, though a specific date has yet to be finalized.
When Killing Floor 3 does become available, players can expect to enjoy it on multiple platforms, including Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. In a move of transparency and customer care, Tripwire is also canceling and refunding all existing preorders to ensure that when the game does arrive, it meets the high standards both the developers and players expect.
The team behind Killing Floor 3 shared an open letter with fans, expressing their commitment to delivering the best possible experience. Feedback from a recent closed beta revealed areas for improvement, leading to the decision to postpone the release. Tripwire is dedicated to enhancing performance, stability, user interface, visuals, and weapon feel to preserve the beloved core gameplay elements while advancing the franchise.
With the backing of their parent company, Embracer Group, the development team is actively working on addressing these areas. While not all fixes may make it to the initial launch version, players can anticipate post-release updates, including the ability to independently select perk classes and characters.
Players and fans are assured that they will be the first to know as more polished versions of the game are available. In the meantime, the Tripwire Interactive team extends heartfelt gratitude for the community’s patience and unwavering support.
