Jsaux Steam Machine Faceplates Are Back in Stock Ahead of October Shipping
Jsaux has restocked two of its customizable faceplates for the Steam Machine, giving buyers another chance to pick up the accessories after they quickly sold out earlier this month. The E-Ink Panel and Pixel Matrix Panel are once again available to order, with shipping expected to begin in early October.
The return of these Steam Machine faceplates should be welcome news for users who want to personalize their setup with extra visual flair and useful at-a-glance information. Both accessories are designed to replace the standard front panel and add a display that can show system-related data, time, weather, images, and more.
The premium option is the Jsaux E-Ink Panel Faceplate, priced at $99.99. It features a 5.83-inch always-on E-Ink screen and connects to the Steam Machine wirelessly via Bluetooth. Since it uses E-Ink technology, the display is designed to be power-efficient while remaining visible even when showing static content.
Users can customize the E-Ink Panel to display information such as the clock, calendar, weather updates, system performance, playtime, and static images. It also includes a built-in 500mAh battery, which Jsaux says can last up to 22 days on a single charge. Another notable feature is support for open-source code, allowing developers to create custom multi-zone layouts for more advanced personalization.
The second option is the Jsaux Pixel Matrix Panel Faceplate, priced at $89.99. This model uses a 7-inch dot-matrix display and connects to the Steam Machine through USB-C. Unlike the E-Ink version, the Pixel Matrix Panel is better suited for live visual effects and real-time information.
The Pixel Matrix Panel can show system stats, weather details, countdown timers, playtime, static images, and GIFs. That makes it a more animated and eye-catching choice for users who want their Steam Machine to feel more dynamic on a desk or entertainment setup.
Both faceplates work with a companion app that lets users manage display content, adjust settings, and install firmware updates. This gives owners more control over how the panels look and what type of information they show.
For now, only the E-Ink Panel and Pixel Matrix Panel are available to buy. Jsaux has also teased a third faceplate with a color E-Ink display, but it has not announced pricing or availability yet. Given its color screen, it will likely be the most expensive model in the lineup when it eventually launches.
With orders now open again and shipping planned for early October, Steam Machine owners who missed the first batch have another opportunity to upgrade their device with one of Jsaux’s customizable display faceplates.
