JLab Unveils Blue XL: A Headphone-Shaped Bluetooth Speaker That Turns Heads

JLab is leaning into fun, eye-catching design with its newest audio release: the JLab Blue XL. At first glance, it looks like an oversized pair of blue headphones, but it’s actually a limited-edition Bluetooth speaker built to deliver room-filling sound.

After debuting the ultra-compact JBuds Mini ANC earbuds at CES 2026, JLab has gone in the opposite direction with a product that’s meant to be seen as much as it’s meant to be heard. The Blue XL uses a headphone-shaped frame with faux leather ear cushions, a blue-and-black color scheme, and a foldable design that plays into the joke while keeping it practical for moving around or storing on a shelf.

The real story is the hardware inside. The JLab Blue XL packs dual 2.5-inch drivers paired with dual 2.5-inch passive radiators, pushing a total of 30W of audio power. Set it on a table and it’s designed to project sound around the room, making it a conversation-starter speaker for bedrooms, dorms, offices, or casual hangouts.

Controls are simple, too. One of the “earcups” includes a physical knob for adjusting the speaker, matching the playful headphone look while giving you quick access to volume control.

For connectivity, the Blue XL comes with Bluetooth 5.4 and supports SBC and AAC codecs, which should make it an easy match for most smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Battery life is also aimed at all-day use: JLab says there are two 3,000mAh batteries inside, delivering up to 20 hours of playback. Charging is rated at about 3 hours using a 10W charger.

Pricing and availability are straightforward, but there’s a catch for anyone who waits too long. The JLab Blue XL Speaker Headphones are available now for $99.99, and JLab describes them as limited edition with limited quantities, so it may sell out quickly.
