JBL Unveils Eight Fresh Tune Headphones at CES 2026

JBL is kicking off 2026 with a big refresh of its popular Tune lineup, revealing eight new headphone models at CES 2026. The new range is designed to cover just about every listening style and budget, from affordable everyday earbuds to longer-lasting wireless headphones with modern Bluetooth upgrades and, for the first time in the Tune family, active noise cancellation.

Here’s the full list of new JBL Tune models for 2026: Tune 780NC, Tune 680NC, Tune 730BT, Tune 530BT, Tune 530 Wired, Tune 530C (USB-C), Tune 235BT, and Tune 135BT. JBL’s approach is straightforward: four tiers of products aimed at different users, with prices starting at $34.95 and going up to $149.95.

New Tune flagships add active noise cancellation and long battery life

The top-end Tune 780NC and Tune 680NC introduce active noise cancellation to the Tune series, making them the most feature-packed options in the new lineup. The Tune 780NC uses 40 mm drivers, while the Tune 680NC comes with 32 mm drivers, giving buyers two different takes on a similar high-end package.

Battery life is a major headline here. JBL rates both models for up to 76 hours of runtime per charge, which is especially appealing for commuters, frequent travelers, and anyone who hates charging headphones every few days.

Both the Tune 780NC and Tune 680NC also step into the latest wireless tech with Bluetooth 6.0 support. They include multipoint connectivity (so you can stay connected to two devices at once, like a phone and laptop) and are compatible with LE Audio. LE Audio supports the LC3 codec, which is designed to deliver better audio quality at lower power compared to older, more basic Bluetooth audio options. For calls, JBL includes dual beamforming microphones intended to reduce background noise and improve voice clarity.

Mid-range options: Tune 730BT and 530BT target everyday wireless listening

In the middle of the range, JBL is offering the Tune 730BT and Tune 530BT. The Tune 730BT features 40 mm drivers and continues the more premium wireless feature set by supporting Bluetooth 6.0 along with LE Audio and the LC3 codec.

The Tune 530BT uses 33 mm drivers but keeps things simpler on the codec side, supporting the standard SBC Bluetooth codec rather than LC3. That makes it a more budget-friendly wireless option for listeners who want JBL’s sound and a wireless connection without focusing on the newest Bluetooth audio standards.

Wired alternatives for people who want cables, Hi-Res Audio, or USB-C

Not everyone wants Bluetooth, and JBL is leaning into that with two dedicated wired models.

The Tune 530 Wired trades the wireless connection found on the Tune 530BT for a traditional cable. One of the key benefits here is support for Hi-Res Audio, which can be a selling point for listeners who prefer a wired setup for consistency, compatibility, and sound quality.

The Tune 530C (USB-C) takes a different approach by using a USB-C connection. It also switches to smaller 12.5 mm drivers and adds practical extras for daily use, including IPX4-rated water resistance and an in-line three-button control with a built-in microphone. This model is positioned as a convenient plug-in choice for modern devices that favor USB-C audio.

Entry-level earbuds emphasize affordability and battery life

At the most affordable end, JBL is launching the Tune 235BT and Tune 135BT. Both are rated for up to 25 hours of battery life, aiming at listeners who want something simple and reliable.

The Tune 235BT includes 12.5 mm drivers and adds IPX4 water resistance, which is useful for workouts, commutes, and light rain. The Tune 135BT uses 8.6 mm drivers and focuses on the basics, keeping features minimal to hit a lower price point.

Pricing and release dates: January and June 2026 rollout

Across the eight new JBL Tune headphones and earbuds, pricing ranges from $34.95 to $149.95, covering a wide span of budgets.

Availability is split into two launch windows. The entry-level Tune 135BT and Tune 235BT arrive first in January 2026. The rest of the lineup is planned for June 2026. JBL’s Tune 730BT was previously announced in Japan and is already on sale there, but the wider 2026 lineup expands the Tune family significantly—especially with the arrival of active noise cancellation and updated Bluetooth features like Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint, and LE Audio.

With this CES 2026 release, JBL is clearly trying to make the Tune lineup more competitive across the board, offering clearer good-better-best choices while adding modern wireless standards, optional wired listening, and battery life numbers that stand out in the crowded headphone market.
