Apple’s first foldable iPhone may keep one of the iPhone’s most loved features
Apple’s upcoming “Surprise and shine” event is expected to bring one of the company’s biggest product reveals in years: its first foldable iPhone, widely rumored to launch as the iPhone Ultra. While a foldable design would mark a major shift for the iPhone lineup, Apple may still keep a familiar feature that many users already rely on every day.
According to the latest industry chatter, the iPhone Ultra is expected to support MagSafe. If accurate, that means Apple’s foldable iPhone could work with many existing MagSafe accessories, including chargers, wallets, stands, mounts, battery packs, and compatible cases.
That detail could make the iPhone Ultra much more appealing to longtime iPhone users. Foldable phones often require design compromises because of their hinges, internal displays, and thinner body sections.
