This innovation not only ensures the battery is securely held in place but also allows for swift and easy removal, minimizing the hassle traditionally associated with battery replacements.
The new adhesive becomes less sticky when electrical current is applied, allowing the battery to be replaced quickly—sometimes in under 90 seconds. Apple suggests using a 9V battery along with two cables and alligator clips to streamline the process even further. To execute a battery replacement, simply connect the red alligator clip to the battery’s silver tab and the black clip to the grounding screw located at the bottom right.
