In an exciting development for gaming enthusiasts, ZOTAC is set to shake up the graphics card market in China with the introduction of two new RTX 4070 GPUs. Contrary to the belief that improvements on the RTX 40 series had plateaued, ZOTAC is bringing fresh innovation to the table with these latest models.
These new graphics cards are based on NVIDIA’s cutting-edge RTX 4070 SUPER model, leveraging the powerful AD104 GPU. This mighty component comes packed with 7,168 CUDA cores and is paired with 12GB of high-speed GDDR6X memory, ensuring robust performance for demanding games and applications.
The new additions from ZOTAC are reminiscent of their well-regarded TRINITY series, but with some notable differences. The new GPUs feature a redesigned cooling system with a smaller central fan, diverging from the TRINITY’s trio of same-sized fans. Named the MOON series, these graphics cards are available in two sleek color options: White, also referred to as Opal, and Black, known as Shadow. While the color schemes may differ, both variants are powered with identical specifications. This includes a slight factory overclock, pushing boost speeds to an impressive 2,505 MHz.
Key to their design, the MOON series cards are equipped with a 16-pin power connector that demands 220W of power. These cards support modern display interfaces with three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and an HDMI 2.1 port, covering all bases for high-definition video output. Despite their relatively compact 2.25-slot design, they will still require three slots in most setups to house the cooler effectively. The cards are crafted in line with NVIDIA’s official guidelines, although they aren’t tagged as NVIDIA SFF-Ready.
While these innovative GPUs are tailored specifically for the Asian market, primarily targeting China, their appeal might see them surface across various third-party retail platforms popular among global buyers. As of now, ZOTAC hasn’t disclosed the pricing details for these cutting-edge graphics cards, leaving enthusiasts eagerly awaiting further announcements.
ZOTAC’s latest MOON series signifies a thrilling stride forward in the realm of GPU technology, promising gamers an enhanced visual experience with their fresh take on the RTX 4070.
