Truecaller, known for its caller ID capabilities, is adopting cutting-edge AI technology to enhance the communication experience for its users. By collaborating with Microsoft, Truecaller aims to leverage Azure AI to introduce a Voice Clone feature that can answer calls using a digital clone of a user’s own voice. The implementation of this novel feature means that Truecaller users will have the ability to create an AI-generated voice model based on their personal voice. The AI Voice Assistant will be able to field questions from callers and inform the user whether an incoming call warrants their attention, giving users the option to either take the call directly or deploy the AI Assistant to manage it on their behalf.
