At CES 2025, Lenovo unveiled the groundbreaking ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, the first consumer-grade laptop featuring a rollable display. While its initial release was slated for early 2025, anticipation continued to build as the launch timeline extended. Now, the innovative device is finally available for purchase, starting at an impressive $3,299.
This advanced laptop is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, complemented by 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, though it’s important to note that the memory and storage aren’t upgradable. In terms of connectivity, the laptop offers two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which might require users to rely on adapters for additional connectivity options.
The standout feature of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 is its stunning rollable OLED display. Transcending standard laptop screens, it smoothly transforms from a 14-inch display into a larger 16.7-inch screen. A key advantage over foldable screens is the absence of any creases, providing a flawless viewing experience.
Offering a 120 Hz refresh rate and 400 nits brightness, the screen resolution is 2000 x 1600 pixels in its standard form, extending to 2000 x 2350 pixels when fully rolled out. The aspect ratio shifts from 5:4 to a panoramic 8:9, enhancing the visual experience.
Additional features include a robust 66 Whr battery, premium Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and the latest connectivity options with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. This new entry from Lenovo surely captivates tech enthusiasts with its cutting-edge design and features.
