BenQ has introduced its newest addition to the gaming world, the Zowie XL2540X+. This 24.1-inch monitor is tailored for esports enthusiasts seeking top-tier performance. Designed to enhance the renowned XL series, this model upgrades the refresh rate from the prior 240Hz to an impressive 280Hz, while maintaining a Full HD resolution (1920×1080) on a TN panel.
The heart of this monitor beats with a W-LED backlight that produces 320 nits of brightness and a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. It offers color coverage of 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3. Although color accuracy might not be its defining feature due to the TN panel and 8-bit depth, it’s the speed and responsiveness that stand out. With a rapid 1ms response time and Adaptive-Sync support, it’s especially suitable for fast-paced games like CS2 and Valorant.
The XL2540X+ is packed with features synonymous with the Zowie line, such as the S Switch control puck, Black eQualizer, Color Vibrance, and Auto Game Mode. Bundled accessories include a DisplayPort cable, HDMI cable, S Switch, and a Shielding hood.
In terms of design, the monitor offers height adjustment up to 155mm, swivel, and tilt options, though it lacks the ability to pivot vertically. Connectivity is robust, featuring three HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2, and a 3.5mm audio-out jack. It supports 100x100mm VESA mounting and includes a removable stand with a Kensington lock for security.
This monitor is not aimed at content creators or gamers seeking exceptional color depth and wide viewing angles. With viewing angles of 170° horizontal and 160° vertical, it caters specifically to those prioritizing low latency and quick response times.
Though exact pricing and global release dates remain under wraps, the XL2540X+ is listed under the 2025 model year, suggesting it’s an upgrade for users of the earlier XL2540 and XL2546 models.
This new monitor is a compelling option for competitive gamers seeking every advantage in speed and performance.
