Priority has just introduced its most advanced e-bike to date, the Skyline, in the US market. This high-end electric bike boasts an impressive feature set and a premium price point that reflects its top-tier capabilities. At the heart of the Skyline is the Pinion C1.12i smart shift gearbox, which is paired with a 750 W torque-sensing rear hub motor and the dependable Gates carbon drive belt.
The motor offers a substantial 90 Nm of torque and a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph), allowing the bike to smoothly tackle inclines. The Skyline’s power comes from a 720 Wh battery, seamlessly integrated into the downtube, offering a range between 20 to 60 miles (32.1 to 96.5 km) depending on factors like assist level, terrain, rider weight, and throttle usage.
The Pinion gearbox system features 12 electronically controlled gears with a broad 600% gear range. The included Gates Carbon belt drive ensures smooth, low-maintenance performance akin to premium European trekking e-bikes.
For added comfort and control, the Skyline is outfitted with wide 650x50c Maxxis tires, an SR Suntour XCM 32 front suspension fork with 80 mm of travel, and Tektro HD-E350 hydraulic disc brakes with motor cutoff capability. The frame, constructed from 6061 aluminum, weighs 68 lbs (30.8 kg).
In terms of accessories, the Skyline doesn’t disappoint. It includes a 500-lumen front light, a brake-sensing rear light, and a backlit display showing five assist modes, speedometer, trip distance, and odometer. Additional features include a comfortable saddle, rear luggage rack, kickstand, and full fenders.
Available for pre-order in a sleek white colorway, the Priority Skyline starts at $3,999. It’s offered in small, medium, and large sizes to accommodate a variety of riders. For those acting quickly, there’s a $300 launch discount available until August 18, reducing the price to $3,699.
