In the evolving landscape of home entertainment in India, Lumio is making waves with the launch of its Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors. With the market largely skewed towards either budget models or pricey high-end options, these projectors aim to fill a notable gap in the mid-range sector.
The Arc 5 and Arc 7 stand out with their integration of Google TV and Netflix certification, offering a seamless entertainment experience with easy access to a plethora of apps from the Google Play Store. Lumio’s intention is clear: to solve the common frustrations of projector use, such as limited app compatibility, subpar audio, and tough setups.
Backing up their customer-friendly philosophy, Lumio boasts a robust service network of over 200 centers across India, coupled with a reassuring 1-year warranty.
Designed for cozy spaces like bedrooms or to accompany you on trips, the Arc 5 impresses with its portability, weighing just 1.33 kg. It can project a stunning 1080p HDR10 image up to 100 inches and supports Dolby Audio with its 5W speakers.
Meanwhile, for larger living rooms, the Arc 7 offers enhanced brightness at 400 ANSI lumens and superior sound with its two 8W stereo speakers. Both models promise long-lasting image quality thanks to the sealed ArcLight Engine, which prevents dust from infiltrating the optics.
On the technical front, both projectors are powered by the MediaTek 9630 chip, featuring a quad-core CPU and Mali-G52 GPU. This setup supports 4K content decoding and HDR, ensuring top-notch visual performance. The projectors also come equipped with a Time-of-Flight sensor for hassle-free automatic focus and keystone correction, making your viewing experience smooth and straightforward.
Lumio introduces its innovative STR8 (Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration) technology for seamless operation, and the Minion Noir remote enhances convenience with dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and YouTube. It also features a unique button for TLDR, Lumio’s dashboard for sports updates and music.
The Arc 7 is set to hit Amazon.in on July 12 at ₹34,999 ($409), with a special early bird price of ₹29,999 ($350) available during Prime Day from July 12 to July 14. The Arc 5 will follow later in July, available at ₹19,999 ($234). These launches are poised to redefine mid-range home projector expectations in India, combining advanced technology with user-friendly features.
