Fresh details suggest that at least one desktop model could feature a powerful integrated GPU with a dedicated graphics power limit of up to 40W, putting Intel in a stronger position against AMD’s Ryzen desktop APUs.

The most interesting part of the leak is the reported 12 Xe3P integrated graphics configuration. Earlier information pointed to Nova Lake desktop chips using a 12 Xe-class iGPU, and newer details now suggest this will be based on Intel’s upcoming Xe3P architecture. This would make Nova Lake-S one of Intel’s most ambitious desktop CPU families when it comes to integrated graphics performance.

The rumored Nova Lake-S chip with the 12 Xe3P iGPU is said to use a hybrid CPU layout featuring 4 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, and 4 low-power efficiency cores. That would give the processor a total of 16 cores and 16 threads. While this may not be the highest-end CPU configuration in the Nova Lake lineup, the focus here appears to be graphics power and efficiency rather than maximum CPU core count.
