IKEA’s next wave of smart home gadgets is taking shape, thanks to a fresh leak that showcases eight unreleased devices slated to join the lineup in 2026. The images reveal new designs and confirm that many of these products are tracking toward Matter support, with seven already appearing in the Distributed Compliance Ledger.
Back in July 2025, IKEA said it would launch more than 20 smart home devices in early 2026. This leak offers an early look at eight of them, including two products that hadn’t been seen before.
Here’s what surfaced:
– Bilresa dual-button smart switch and Bilresa scroll-wheel smart switch: Two compact controllers with different input styles. The dual-button model’s look diverges noticeably from an earlier supposed Bilresa leak, suggesting refined ergonomics and a more polished design language.
– Timmerflotte temperature and humidity sensor: A tidy sensor aimed at climate monitoring around the home, listed in the DCL and expected to work within Matter ecosystems.
– Alpstuga air quality monitor: A fresh take on indoor air tracking that departs significantly from the older Vindstyrka’s styling, signaling a more cohesive aesthetic with the new range.
– Myggspray Wireless motion sensor: A round, minimalist motion sensor that contrasts the square Vallhorn, indicating a shift toward softer, more discreet forms.
– Tofsmygga outdoor smart plug: One of two previously unknown devices, this weather-ready plug should make it easier to automate lights and tools outside.
– Grillplats indoor smart plug: Also new to the leak, an updated plug that appears to echo the functionality of the Tretakt while adopting a rounder, friendlier profile.
– Myggbett door/window sensor: A slim contact sensor reminiscent of the earlier Parasoll, designed for simple open/close automation and alerts.
Most of these devices are already listed in the DCL as Matter-certified or Matter-bound, which bodes well for broad compatibility across platforms and hubs. The pair of newcomers—Tofsmygga and Grillplats—expand IKEA’s smart plug options for both outdoor and indoor use, rounding out a lineup that also includes upgraded sensors and controls.
Exact launch dates within 2026 and pricing remain unconfirmed. Given IKEA’s track record, expect approachable price points aimed at lowering the barrier to entry for a whole-home smart setup. With a growing focus on Matter and a cleaner, more unified design language, this upcoming range looks positioned to integrate smoothly with existing ecosystems while modernizing the brand’s smart home catalog.
If you’re planning a refresh next year, keep an eye on these names: Bilresa, Timmerflotte, Alpstuga, Myggspray, Tofsmygga, Grillplats, and Myggbett. They’re likely to be among the most talked-about budget-friendly smart home additions of 2026.
