IKEA has introduced a playful new lighting option that’s already turning heads: the Grejsimojs LED table lamp, dimmable/dog blue. Now available in several countries, this decorative lamp is designed to look like a dog sitting down, and IKEA describes it as a “child-safe friend that’s there both day and night.” It’s an easy way to add a cozy glow to a child’s room, nursery, or any space that could use a softer, friendlier vibe.
Beyond the cute design, the Grejsimojs is built for everyday use. It uses a replaceable LED light source rated for around 25,000 hours. In real-world terms, that could translate to roughly 20 years if the lamp is used about three hours per day, making it a practical pick for bedside lighting and nighttime routines.
The lamp produces a white, glare-free light with brightness up to 100 lumens and a warm 2,700K color temperature. That warm tone is ideal for evening wind-down time, reading a bedtime story, or keeping a gentle light on overnight without the harshness of cooler, brighter bulbs.
One of the standout features is how simple it is to control. The Grejsimojs LED table lamp is dimmable, and you can adjust the brightness using a button located on the dog’s head. It also includes a smart memory function, meaning it remembers your last brightness setting and returns to that level the next time you turn it on—perfect if you prefer a consistent, low-light setting at night.
In terms of size and setup, the lamp has a blue plastic body and measures 27 x 30 x 18 cm (about 10.6 x 11.8 x 7.1 inches). It comes with a 2.0 m (roughly 6.6 ft) power cord, offering flexibility for placing it on a nightstand, dresser, shelf, or side table.
Pricing and availability vary slightly by region. The IKEA Grejsimojs LED table lamp is currently available in countries including the US, the UK, and Sweden for $39.99, £19.00, and SEK 299. A wider release across the EU is expected on January 31st.
