IKEA Introduces New Affordable Charging Solutions

In the market for gadgets and home essentials, IKEA has expanded its product line with the introduction of new charging accessories designed to keep up with the technological needs of consumers. Among these new offerings are USB-C cables and a versatile extension cable aimed at providing both functionality and affordability.

The RUNDHULT is a new addition to IKEA’s charging range, which features a USB-C to USB-C cable tailor-made for keeping your laptops and tablets powered up. This durable braided cable stretches to a length of approximately 1.5 meters (4 feet 11 inches) and boasts the capacity to support a generous 100W power delivery. Buyers can choose between two sleek color options: dark gray and a striking black/white combination. Priced competitively, this high-power cable is available for $9.99 / €7.99 / 99 SEK in markets across Europe and the United States.

European customers from countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany have access to two more cable variations under the LILLHULT series. These are the LILLHULT USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to Lightning cables. Similar to the RUNDHULT, the LILLHULT cables are 1.5 meters long and are wrapped in a resilient braided design, available in an array of colors including green, light gray, and orange/pink. These cables support data transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbps. While these cables are likely to offer a power output less than 100W due to their lower pricing, they are still a budget-friendly option for users, with the USB-C to USB-C model priced at €5.99 and the USB-C to Lightning model at €9.99.

Both the RUNDHULT and LILLHULT cables are designed to work seamlessly with the SJOSS 30W 1-port USB-C charger, an earlier release by IKEA that further complements the company’s ecosystem of charging solutions.

Continuing its foray into power management solutions, IKEY has unveiled the SKOTAT extension cable for European homes. This accessory not only provides three standard AC ports supporting up to 250V and 2,500W but also adds the convenience of dual USB-C ports for mobile charging. When a single USB-C port is used, it delivers a robust 45W output, which slightly drops to 22W per port when both are used simultaneously. Thanks to the support for charging protocols such as PD 3.0, QC4+, and PPS, this extension cable ensures fast and efficient charging for a variety of devices. The SKOTAT’s innovative triangular shape and environmentally friendly green color add a touch of modern design to its function, and the 1.8-meter-long cable makes it versatile for various setups. The extension cable also includes cutouts for wall mounting, offering additional convenience for users. Available for €24.99, the SKOTAT might soon be expected to reach other markets beyond the EU.

With these releases, IKEA continues to offer economical and high-quality options for staying charged and connected. Whether you’re looking to juice up your smartphone or need a reliable power supply for your workspace, IKEA’s innovative products deliver both style and utility at price points that are hard to beat.
