iFlytek’s Featherweight AI Glasses Pack a Micro-Projector and Bone-Conduction Mics

iFlytek AI Glasses Debut With Micro Projector, Live Translation, and Bone Conduction Microphones

iFlytek is expanding its hardware lineup with a new pair of AI-powered smart glasses designed to bring real-time translation, projected information, and hands-free assistance directly into the wearer’s field of view.

The new device, officially called iFlytek AI Glasses, arrives after the company recently introduced several reading and writing-focused products, including E Ink digital notebooks and a compact e-reader. With its latest launch, iFlytek is moving further into wearable AI technology, combining language tools, visual translation, and productivity features in a lightweight frame.

The iFlytek AI Glasses are offered in one design and color option. According to the company, they weigh just 40 grams, making them light enough for extended daily use. The glasses have also received SGS Comfort Certification, suggesting that comfort was a major focus in the design. The lenses use fully laminated resin waveguide technology, which iFlytek says helps improve durability and makes them less likely to shatter if dropped.

One of the standout features is the built-in micro projector, which can display information directly in the user’s field of view. This allows wearers to view translated text, prompts, and other useful information without needing to look down at a phone or tablet.

The glasses support live translation in up to 122 languages, making them especially useful for travelers, business meetings, international calls, and multilingual conversations. Offline translation is available for 18 languages, which can help users communicate even when they do not have a stable internet connection.

iFlytek says the glasses can also translate conversations during voice and video calls. Another notable feature is the ability to project two languages at the same time, which could be helpful in bilingual meetings, interviews, classrooms, or cross-border business discussions.

With an integrated camera, the iFlytek AI Glasses can translate text from signs, menus, documents, and other real-world objects. The translated content can then be overlaid visually, giving users a more natural way to understand foreign-language text in real time.

The glasses also include a teleprompter mode. This feature could appeal to presenters, content creators, teachers, executives, and public speakers who want to read prepared remarks without relying on printed notes or a separate screen.

For audio input, iFlytek has equipped the AI Glasses with six omnidirectional microphones. These microphones use bone conduction technology, which is designed to capture speech more clearly than conventional microphones in certain environments. This could improve voice commands, call quality, transcription, and translation accuracy.

The temples of the glasses include physical controls, giving users a simple way to interact with the device. These controls can also function as page-turning buttons, which may be useful when reading text, following a script, or using the teleprompter feature.

Another major software feature is GlassClaw, iFlytek’s built-in personal AI assistant. The company says GlassClaw can work across devices and handle complex tasks based on a single spoken instruction. This positions the glasses as more than just a translation tool, giving them broader potential as a wearable AI productivity assistant.

However, several important technical details have not yet been confirmed. iFlytek has not shared the camera resolution, battery life, charging speed, Bluetooth version, or other connectivity specifications. These details will likely be important for buyers who want to know how practical the glasses are for all-day use.

The iFlytek AI Glasses are currently available for pre-order in China with a price of CNY 4,299, which is approximately $636 or €548. While there is no confirmed information about wider global availability, the feature set suggests iFlytek is targeting users who need real-time translation, smart productivity tools, and wearable AI assistance in a lightweight form factor.
