Lenovo looks set to make a splash at IFA 2025 in Berlin, with a fresh wave of ThinkPad hardware and a striking concept laptop reportedly on deck. Well-known leaker Evan Blass shared the first image of a new Lenovo concept, said to be an evolution of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, and claims it will debut as Project Pivo next week. He also hints at a new Edge 60 smartphone and a more premium handheld gaming device positioned above the Legion Go S.
On the ThinkPad side, the leak points to a sizable lineup heading to the show floor between September 5 and September 9:
– ThinkPad P1 Gen 8
– ThinkPad P14s Gen 6
– ThinkPad P16s Gen 4
– ThinkPad P16 Gen 3
– ThinkPad P16v Gen 3
– ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition 14 Glacier White
– ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition 15 Glacier White
Not every device here is brand-new. The Glacier White versions of the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition were already released in China under the Moonlight White name, and Lenovo’s regional channels have teased much of the rest. Even so, the leak suggests the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8, P14s Gen 6, P16s Gen 4, P16 Gen 3, and P16v Gen 3 are slated for global rollout with Intel processors.
What to expect:
– The P-series typically targets creators and engineers who need workstation-class performance in mobile form factors, with the P1 serving as the flagship thin-and-light powerhouse.
– The P14s and P16s lines generally balance portability and pro-grade features, while the P16 and P16v families tend to focus on higher performance and value respectively.
– The X9 Aura Edition models in Glacier White bring a cleaner, lighter aesthetic to Lenovo’s premium ultraportable tier.
As for Project Pivo, Lenovo appears to be extending its experimentation from the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 into a more futuristic concept—one likely to spotlight new ways to blend productivity, creativity, and flexible form factors. Meanwhile, the rumored Edge 60 smartphone and the upscale gaming handheld indicate Lenovo is broadening its play across mobile and gaming-frontier categories alongside its business-centric ThinkPads.
Specifications, pricing, and availability should be clarified once the IFA 2025 announcements go live. Until then, treat these details as leaks and stay tuned for official confirmation from Lenovo in Berlin next week.
