HyperOS 3.1 Goes Global: First Wave of Xiaomi Phones and Tablets Now Receiving the Stable Update

Xiaomi has begun rolling out the stable HyperOS 3.1 update to its first wave of global smartphones and tablets, bringing a mix of behind-the-scenes performance tuning and visible interface upgrades. The update has started appearing for users in the EU first, with a broader global release expected to follow.

Among the earliest phones to receive HyperOS 3.1 are models in the Xiaomi 17 series. The Xiaomi 17 (codenamed Pudding) and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (codenamed Nezha) are now getting the update in the EU with firmware versions OS3.0.301.0.WPCEUXM and OS3.0.301.0.WPAEUXM, respectively.

On the tablet side, Xiaomi is also seeding the update to the Redmi Pad Pro and the Poco Pad (a rebranded version of the same device). Both tablets share the same EU firmware build: OS3.0.301.0.WNSEUXM.

So, what’s new in HyperOS 3.1? Xiaomi is highlighting several refinements aimed at making everyday use feel smoother and more modern. One of the standout additions is an enhanced Super Island experience, described as more interactive than before. Xiaomi has also refreshed system animations and app interface behavior, leaning into more fluid, iOS-style motion effects designed to make navigation feel faster and more polished.

Another major focus is improved Xiaomi HyperConnect. With HyperOS 3.1, Xiaomi is expanding cross-device compatibility, including better interaction with parts of the Apple ecosystem. Notably, Xiaomi’s “Find My Device” feature can now ping paired Apple AirPods, adding a practical perk for users who mix Xiaomi devices with Apple accessories.

Xiaomi hasn’t shared an official timeline for when the rest of the compatible device list will receive HyperOS 3.1. It’s also worth noting that not every device running HyperOS 3 is expected to get the 3.1 update, meaning availability may vary by model and region as the rollout continues.
