Huge LEGO Leak Uncovers Eight New Super Mario Minifigure Sets Starting at $9.99

LEGO Super Mario could be getting its biggest shake-up yet, as a new leak claims the first full wave of minifigure-scale Super Mario sets is planned for January 2027.

According to the latest rumored set list, eight LEGO Super Mario products are on the way, with prices ranging from $9.99 to $99.99. The most exciting detail for collectors is that every set is said to include minifigures, which would mark a major shift from the current interactive LEGO Super Mario range built around electronic characters and digital play features.

The leak appears more credible because several of the set numbers reportedly match an earlier rumor that listed multiple January 2027 LEGO Super Mario releases along with piece counts. The newer information adds two more set numbers and, more importantly, gives names and prices for the full wave.

If accurate, this could be a true reboot of the LEGO Super Mario theme rather than a simple expansion. The existing interactive line is expected to wind down by the end of 2026, making January 2027 a logical moment for LEGO and Nintendo to relaunch the theme in a more traditional minifigure-focused format.

The rumored LEGO Super Mario January 2027 lineup includes:

72052 Mario’s Pipe Jump — $9.99

72054 Mario Kart – Racing with Mario — $14.99, 84 pieces

72055 Mario’s Beach Adventures — $19.99, 196 pieces

72056 Mario Kart – Luigi & Bowser Jr’s Karts — $29.99, 104 pieces

72057 Yoshi at Mario’s House — $39.99, 147 pieces

72058 Mario Kart – Bowser’s Rumbling Kart — $59.99

72060 Fire Mario & Bowser’s Castle — $99.99, 850 pieces

72061 Fire Luigi vs. Koopa Troopa Battle — $29.99, 241 pieces

The set names suggest a strong mix of classic Super Mario locations and Mario Kart-inspired builds. Mario’s Pipe Jump sounds like a small entry-level set, while Yoshi at Mario’s House could appeal to fans of the cozy, colorful side of the franchise. The Mario Kart sets may be the biggest draw, especially if they include buildable karts and proper minifigures of Mario, Luigi, Bowser Jr., or Bowser.

The largest rumored set, Fire Mario & Bowser’s Castle, is listed at $99.99 with 850 pieces. That puts it at roughly 11.8 cents per piece. Meanwhile, Mario Kart – Luigi & Bowser Jr’s Karts is rumored to include 104 pieces for $29.99, which is a much higher price per piece. Across the six sets with known piece counts, the combined total comes to 1,622 pieces for $234.94, averaging about 14.5 cents per piece.

That is on the expensive side compared to many LEGO themes, but the pricing may make more sense if these sets include desirable molded characters, printed elements, Nintendo licensing costs, or specialized kart parts. The lower entry prices, especially the $9.99 and $14.99 sets, could also make the wave appealing to younger fans and collectors who simply want Super Mario minifigures without buying larger builds.

One notable absence from the rumored list is Princess Peach. None of the eight set names mention Peach, which may disappoint fans hoping for a broader launch lineup. However, if this wave is real and performs well, more characters would likely follow in future LEGO Super Mario releases.

There is also said to be another rumored Super Mario set numbered 72059, described elsewhere as a larger 18+ build planned for March 2027, but it does not appear in this latest January list. That could mean it belongs to a separate wave, has been delayed, or is unrelated to the minifigure-scale lineup.

For now, LEGO has not officially confirmed these Super Mario 2027 sets, so the information should be treated as a rumor. Still, the idea of a minifigure-scale LEGO Super Mario reboot is already generating plenty of excitement. If the leak proves accurate, January 2027 could be a huge month for Nintendo fans, LEGO collectors, and anyone who has been waiting years for traditional Super Mario minifigures.
