Huawei has unveiled the Watch Ultimate 2, a premium smartwatch built for serious diving and rugged adventures. Headlining the upgrade is sonar-based underwater communication, letting divers send brief text or emoji messages to nearby Watch Ultimate 2 wearers within 30 meters, with an underwater SOS signal that can reach up to 60 meters. Combined with a water resistance rating up to 150 meters and IP69 protection, it’s designed to boost safety and coordination beneath the waves.
The case is crafted from a zirconium-based metal alloy for durability, while a two-tone nanoceramic bezel and sapphire glass add a high-end finish. It comes in two colorways—black and blue.
Connectivity and location tracking take a big step forward. A new Gap Antenna system is engineered for stronger signal performance in harsh outdoor environments, working alongside the Sunflower positioning system that supports dual-band, five-satellite coverage for greater accuracy. You also get eSIM voice calls, Bluetooth 5.4, and AI-based noise suppression for clearer communication on the move.
With Huawei’s latest TruSense health monitoring and X-TAP technology, the Watch Ultimate 2 tracks 11 core health indicators, including continuous heart rate and SpO₂, sleep analysis, and more. Wellness insights are accessible through the streamlined Health Glance interface. Safety features such as fall detection, emergency SOS, and altitude tracking round out its outdoor toolkit.
Power comes from an 867 mAh battery rated for up to 11 days in power-saving mode and around 4.5 days with typical use, giving you multi-day endurance without constant charging.
Pricing starts at €899 (approximately $1,043). Sales begin October 9, 2025, through the company’s online store, its Berlin flagship, and major retail partners. Early buyers who purchase by November 4 will receive a set of FreeBuds Pro 4 earbuds and a three-year warranty extension at no extra cost.
