HP has expanded its 16-inch laptop lineup worldwide with a new professional-grade model built around AMD’s latest Ryzen AI Pro processors. The device is aimed at business users, creators, and power users who want a large display, modern AI-ready performance, and flexible operating system options.
In the United States, the laptop officially starts at $3,223 when configured with Windows 11 Pro. That base configuration includes an AMD Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 processor, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and HP’s most affordable display option.
Buyers who do not need Windows pre-installed can lower the starting price. Selecting FreeDOS or Ubuntu Linux 24.04 at checkout brings the price down to $2,973, making it a more appealing option for Linux users or IT departments that prefer to install their own operating system image.
There is already a notable discount available through a third-party retailer in the US. The entry-level version has been listed for $2,208, making it significantly cheaper than HP’s official starting price.
Pricing varies widely by region. In the UK, the laptop is currently listed from £1,679. In the Eurozone, it starts at €3,543, though the available configuration differs from the US model. European listings currently include the more powerful Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450 processor, along with different memory and display options.
HP is expected to introduce additional configurations in the UK over time, including both more affordable and higher-end versions. That should give buyers more choice depending on whether they prioritize price, performance, memory capacity, storage, or display quality.
