The AI Defocus Eye Protection technology addresses the global rise in nearsightedness due to prolonged screen use. It uses AI to simulate defocus glasses on smart device displays, a technique shown to help maintain clear central vision and reduce eye elongation that leads to nearsightedness. This feature has demonstrated the ability to decrease transient myopia by an average of 13 degrees after 25 minutes of reading, with some users experiencing a reduction of up to 75 degrees.
Additionally, HONOR’s AI Deepfake Detection aims to combat fraud associated with deepfake content. By examining frame-by-frame details such as eye contact, lighting, image clarity, and video playback, the AI detects imperfections that are not visible to the human eye. Trained on a vast dataset of videos and images, this technology can identify and warn users of potential synthetic or manipulated content within three seconds, helping prevent engagement with fraudsters.
