Honor X6e Launches in Malaysia With 7,500mAh Battery, 120Hz Display, and Budget Pricing
Honor has expanded its affordable smartphone lineup in Malaysia with the launch of the Honor X6e, a new budget-friendly 4G phone focused on long battery life, durability, and everyday performance. The device arrives shortly after the Honor X7e Plus and becomes the seventh model in the Honor X6 series, joining the X6, X6a, X6b, X6b 4G, X6c, and X6d.
One of the biggest highlights of the Honor X6e is its massive 7,500mAh battery. For users who want a phone that can last through long workdays, travel, streaming, social media, and casual gaming, this large battery should be a major selling point. Honor has also included 45W wired charging support, giving the device faster top-ups than many entry-level smartphones in its price range.
Durability is another key focus. The Honor X6e comes with SGS certification for drop resistance, with Honor claiming the phone can survive drops from up to 1.8 meters. It also carries an IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and water splashes. While it is not the most rugged phone in Honor’s latest lineup, it still offers useful protection for everyday accidents.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, users should note that there is no option for expandable storage. Out of the box, the Honor X6e runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, although Honor has not yet confirmed how many software updates or security patches the device will receive.
On the front, the Honor X6e features a 6.61-inch LCD display with a 1604 x 720 pixel resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and animations feel smoother than standard 60Hz panels. It also offers up to 1,010 nits of peak brightness, making the display easier to view outdoors.
For photography, the Honor X6e includes a 50MP main rear camera with up to 10x digital zoom. It is accompanied by an auxiliary lens, while the front houses a 5MP selfie camera for video calls and basic selfies. The front camera supports video recording at up to 1080p.
Other features include a fingerprint sensor, GPS, and dual-SIM support. However, the Honor X6e does not include NFC, so users looking for contactless payment support may need to consider another device.
The Honor X6e is priced at MYR 699, which is approximately $170. It is currently available in Malaysia through Honor’s official sales channels. Buyers can choose between two color options: Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black.
At the moment, Honor has not confirmed whether the X6e will launch in other countries. Still, with its large battery, 120Hz display, drop-resistant design, and low price, the Honor X6e could appeal to budget smartphone buyers looking for a reliable daily device without spending too much.
