Honor Power 3 leak suggests a massive 12,000mAh battery and Dimensity 8600 chip
Honor may be preparing to push smartphone battery life to a new level with its next Power-series handset. A fresh leak from tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the upcoming Honor Power 3 could arrive with an enormous battery capacity of around 11,000mAh to 12,000mAh, making it one of the most endurance-focused Android phones expected in the coming generation.
The Honor Power 3 is said to be the successor to the Honor Power 2, which launched earlier in 2026 with a huge 10,080mAh battery. That model already stood out in a market where many mainstream smartphones still sit far below the 7,000mAh range. If the latest leak is accurate, Honor is aiming to go even further by adding roughly another 1,000mAh to 2,000mAh of capacity.
Such a battery could make the Honor Power 3 especially appealing to users who prioritize long screen-on time, mobile gaming, travel, streaming, navigation, and all-day productivity without constantly reaching for a charger. A phone with a battery close to 12,000mAh would likely outlast most conventional Android devices by a wide margin.
The leak also claims that the Honor Power 3 may use MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 8600 chipset. This processor is reportedly based on a 3nm manufacturing process, which would be an upgrade over the 4nm chip used in the Honor Power 2. While full specifications for the Dimensity 8600 have not yet been confirmed, a more efficient chip could help the phone deliver even better battery life beyond the gain from battery size alone.
A 3nm chip may also improve power efficiency during everyday tasks such as web browsing, messaging, video playback, and social media use. For heavy users, the combination of a next-generation processor and a massive silicon-carbon battery could make the Honor Power 3 one of the most interesting battery-focused smartphones to watch.
However, building a phone with a battery this large is not simple.
