Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 Phase 2 Goes Live Today

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 Phase 2 is now live on all servers, giving players a brand-new set of limited-time Warp banners to focus on as the second half of the anniversary update begins. With Phase 1 officially over, the spotlight shifts to a fresh 5-star debut, multiple high-profile reruns, and a complete lineup of featured Light Cones—all available until June 1, 2026.

Version 4.2 originally launched on April 21 as the game’s third anniversary celebration. The first phase ran for three weeks and centered on Silver Wolf LV.999, alongside rerun banners for Dahlia, Castorice, and Firefly. Now, Phase 2 takes over from today through June 1, after which Version 4.3 is set to begin with the introduction of a new character tied to Mortenax’s Blade.

The big draw in Phase 2 is Evanescia, a new 5-star Physical character who follows the Path of Elation. She arrives as the featured character on the limited banner titled The Demoiselle in Charge, and she’s joined there by boosted 4-star rates for Guinaifen, Lynx, and Sushang. Players who want to fully build her from day one can also pull for her signature 5-star Light Cone, Until the Flowers Bloom Again, available at the same time through the Brilliant Fixation banner.

Evanescia’s playstyle is built around a dual-resource loop that ties her energy to a secondary mechanic called Certified Banger. The key idea is that both resources help generate each other, creating a feedback cycle designed to keep her momentum rolling. When she reaches 240 total energy, she triggers Master Fox, a follow-up attack that hits all enemies with Physical Elation damage. Each proc also restores 10 energy, helping sustain the loop and pushing her toward the next trigger.

Her skill adds more fuel to that engine by dealing Physical damage to a main target and adjacent enemies while generating 10 Punchline stacks. Those stacks feed into the Elation scaling that defines her damage potential, positioning her as a primary DPS option for Elation-focused team setups. She also pairs especially well with the Elation Trailblazer, a free addition that arrived at the start of Version 4.2, making it easier for more players to build around the archetype without needing multiple limited pulls.

Phase 2 also brings a powerful rerun lineup through the Indelible Coterie banner, featuring Tribbie, Sunday, and Feixiao. Their signature Light Cones return as well via the Coalesced Truths banner, and players will also see boosted rates for 4-star Light Cones including Swordplay, Memories of the Past, and Shared Feeling.

For anyone tracking pity and guarantees, Phase 2 keeps the system consistent with previous limited banners. Any guaranteed 5-star earned by losing a 50/50 in Phase 1 carries over into Phase 2, and pity built on earlier limited character banners transfers to The Demoiselle in Charge. The standard rules still apply: the base 5-star rate is 0.6%, with a hard pity cap at 90 pulls. If you’re aiming for Evanescia, the most important detail is the deadline—once Phase 2 ends on June 1, her debut banner is gone, and there’s no confirmed rerun date yet.

Honkai: Star Rail remains free to play on mobile, PC, and PlayStation 5, and Phase 2 is now the main opportunity to decide where your Stellar Jades go before Version 4.3 arrives.
