Helvepic Reveals Epic Montreux 2027 Featuring a Spectacular Live 2WEI Concert

Epic Montreux 2027 Announced: 2WEI to Perform First Full Live Concert in Switzerland

Swiss concert producer Helvepic has announced Epic Montreux 2027, a new international festival dedicated to epic music, cinematic soundtracks, and large-scale orchestral performance. The event will take place on 5 and 6 March 2027 at the Auditorium Stravinski in Montreux, Switzerland.

Designed as a major celebration of the epic music genre, Epic Montreux will bring together composers, performers, choirs, orchestras, industry professionals, and fans for two days of concerts, masterclasses, panels, meet-and-greet sessions, and networking opportunities.

The first edition is being presented in partnership with La Saison Culturelle de Montreux. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on 1 October 2026, with early bird pricing available until 18 October 2026.

At the heart of Epic Montreux 2027 will be two headline concerts from German epic music collective 2WEI. Known for its powerful cinematic arrangements, trailer music, and emotionally charged sound, 2WEI will perform its first-ever full live concert at the festival.

The performances will feature guest artist Edda Hayes, along with the Tale of Fantasy Choir and Orchestra, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2027. More than 200 singers and musicians will take part, combining symphonic orchestra, choir, and solo vocal performances into a large-scale live production.

Helvepic says the concerts will include specially designed staging and visuals created exclusively for the Montreux event, giving audiences a fully immersive epic music experience.

In addition to showcasing established artists, Epic Montreux 2027 will also shine a spotlight on the next generation of composers. Helvepic is launching an international composition competition for emerging talent working in epic music, a genre closely linked to film scores, video game soundtracks, trailers, and fantasy-inspired orchestral works.

Applications for the competition open on 16 September 2026 and close on 8 November 2026. Three finalists will be selected and invited to Montreux, where their compositions will be performed live by the full orchestra and choir.

The competition’s inaugural patron is three-time Emmy winner Russell Brower, audio and music director at CD Projekt Red. He will also take part in the judging process. The jury will include composers Alex Moukala, Bernard Duc, and Cedric Baravaglio, as well as conductor Ludwig Wicki.

Each concert is expected to run for approximately one hour and 40 minutes, with a 20-minute intermission. The full runtime will be around two hours and 15 minutes.

Beyond the main performances, Epic Montreux will offer a broader program aimed at both fans and professionals. Attendees can expect educational sessions, creative discussions, artist encounters, and industry networking, making the event not only a concert experience but also a meeting point for the global epic music community.

Montreux provides a fitting home for the festival. Recognized as a UNESCO City of Music since 2023 and internationally known for its rich musical heritage, the Swiss city has long been associated with world-class live performance. With Epic Montreux 2027, Helvepic aims to establish a new destination event for fans of cinematic, orchestral, fantasy, and video game-inspired music.

With 2WEI’s historic first full live concert, a massive choir and orchestra, an international composer competition, and a program built around creativity and collaboration, Epic Montreux 2027 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting new music festivals in Europe for fans of epic and cinematic sound.
