GTA 6 radio stations revealed with podcasts and headphone mode for a more immersive Leonida
Rockstar Games is turning up the volume on Grand Theft Auto 6 hype with fresh details about the game’s in-world radio stations, music genres, podcasts, and a new headphone feature. As excitement continues to build ahead of launch, the studio has revealed a broad selection of GTA 6 radio content designed to make Leonida feel alive, diverse, and packed with personality.
The upcoming Grand Theft Auto entry appears to feature one of the most varied radio lineups in the series so far. Instead of relying only on familiar music stations, GTA 6 will expand the audio experience with podcasts for the first time in franchise history. That means players will have more to listen to while driving, exploring, causing chaos, or simply soaking in the atmosphere of Rockstar’s newest open world.
According to the latest details, GTA 6 will include at least six major radio stations covering pop, hip hop, Latin music, African sounds, metal, and country. Each station comes with its own identity, hosts, and regional flavor, helping shape Leonida into more than just a backdrop for missions and mayhem.
Flash FM is making a return as the iconic Vice City pop station. This time, it will be hosted by Robyn and Alex, offering a modern take on the upbeat, glossy sound that longtime fans associate with Vice City’s nightlife and coastal energy.
Dirty South Classics will focus on regional rap and hip hop, with Trick and Trina introduced as hosts. The station is expected to highlight sounds from both the streets and the beaches, giving players a taste of Southern hip hop culture as they cruise through the state.
Cocoteo FM is GTA 6’s modern Latin station for Leonida. Hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, the station will explore bachata, merengue, dembow, reggaeton, and other vibrant Latin genres. Given the setting’s strong cultural mix, this station could become one of the most important parts of the game’s soundscape.
AfroBank FM will bring African music to the GTA 6 radio lineup. Hosted by Burna and Palmsy, the station will feature a mix of 20th-century classics, lesser-known tracks, and modern styles such as amapiano and 3-step. This addition suggests Rockstar is aiming for a more global and contemporary soundtrack than ever before.
For players who prefer heavier music, The Chamber 106.6 will deliver metal with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom behind the mic. The station will include 1980s metal classics along with newer heavy tracks, while also paying tribute to Leonida’s metal scene and its place in the region’s musical identity.
Back Country Radio will take GTA 6 into outlaw country territory. Hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, the station will serve the rural regions of Leonida, including Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and the state’s more remote areas. It will also feature field reporters, a swamp weather forecaster, and a call-in personality known as Mud Dog Mike, adding the kind of absurd local flavor the Grand Theft Auto series is famous for.
One of the biggest additions is the arrival of podcasts. For the first time in a Grand Theft Auto game, players will be able to listen to podcast-style content instead of being limited to music and traditional radio banter. This could open the door to more satire, comedy, world-building, interviews, conspiracy talk, fake news segments, and character-driven commentary between missions.
Rockstar has also confirmed a headphone mode, allowing players to listen to music while walking around. This is a major quality-of-life change for exploration. In previous GTA games, music was mainly tied to vehicles, meaning the world could feel much quieter when traveling on foot. With headphones, players will be able to keep the soundtrack going while wandering through neighborhoods, beaches, swamps, cities, and backroads.
GTA 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar has not yet revealed the full song lists for the game’s radio stations, so the exact tracks remain unknown for now.
Even without the full soundtrack, the confirmed stations already suggest a deep commitment to atmosphere and cultural variety. From Latin beats and African rhythms to outlaw country, heavy metal, pop, and Southern hip hop, the GTA 6 radio lineup looks set to become a major part of the game’s identity. With podcasts and headphone mode added to the mix, Leonida may end up being Rockstar’s most immersive open world yet.
