GTA 6 Collector’s Edition Leak May Reveal Leonida’s Map and Hidden Locations

Rockstar may have accidentally given Grand Theft Auto VI fans a fresh look at parts of the game’s map through a promotional image for the Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection.

The collection includes a dual-sided poster, and the reverse side appears to feature a stylized map of Leonida, the fictional state where GTA 6 takes place. The poster is described as a way for players to “plan a road trip to every corner of the Goodtime State,” suggesting it is meant to serve as a collectible in-world travel map.

However, fans quickly noticed something interesting before the image was updated. The original version appeared to show several location names that Rockstar had not officially revealed yet. Among the labels spotted near the edge of the poster were Sandbars and Crude Islands, two areas that immediately sparked speculation across the GTA community.

Other partially visible names also caught attention. Fans pointed out locations beginning with “Dra” and “Beld,” though the full names remain uncertain. The “Dra” label is especially intriguing because it appears to line up with earlier community theories about a place called Draper Island, a location some fans believe was referenced in publicly available footage connected to Port Gellhorn.

Shortly after the discovery, Rockstar replaced the image and removed the visible labels. The updated version no longer shows the names of those locations, which has only fueled more discussion. It is unclear whether the labels were included by mistake or whether Rockstar simply decided it was too early to reveal those parts of the GTA 6 map.

The leak does not appear to reveal major story details or confirm anything about the final launch version of the game. Still, for a title as secretive and highly anticipated as Grand Theft Auto VI, even a small map detail is enough to generate excitement. Rockstar may be saving these locations for future trailers, screenshots, or marketing updates as the release window gets closer.

The poster itself may not be a one-to-one recreation of the in-game map. Its design appears more artistic and stylized, which could explain why some island shapes and coastlines look different from fan-made map projects. Those unofficial maps have been built using trailers, screenshots, and previously surfaced material, so differences are expected.

Even so, the newly spotted names add another layer to the growing picture of Leonida. GTA 6 has already confirmed Vice City as a major setting, but the surrounding state seems to include wetlands, islands, highways, coastal towns, and rural regions inspired by Florida. Locations like Sandbars and Crude Islands would fit naturally into that environment, potentially offering players areas for boating, exploration, smuggling missions, or off-the-grid encounters.

The physical map also has fans talking for another reason: price. The Grand Theft Auto VI Collector’s Edition pre-order is listed at $399.99, but it appears to function more like a collector’s box than a complete game bundle. That means buyers may need to purchase the game separately, depending on the final package details.

Some players had expected a map or poster to be included with the standard version of GTA 6, as physical bonuses have been part of past Rockstar releases. The Standard Edition is priced at $79.99, but Rockstar has not yet confirmed whether regular Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 copies will include any printed extras.

For now, the brief appearance of the labeled Leonida map has given GTA 6 fans another mystery to study. Whether Sandbars, Crude Islands, Draper Island, and the other hidden names become major destinations or small side areas, the accidental reveal suggests that Rockstar’s version of Leonida may be even larger and more detailed than expected.
