GTA 6 fan map update reveals new details about Leonida, Vice City, and Mt. Kalaga
The ongoing community effort to recreate the GTA 6 map has received another major update, giving fans a clearer look at Rockstar’s massive new open world. Version 16 of the fan-made map brings noticeable changes across several regions, including Mt. Kalaga National Park, Port Gellhorn, Leonida Keys, Vice City, Ambrosia, and Grassrivers.
One of the biggest updates can be seen in the northern part of the map. Mt. Kalaga National Park, previously shown as a more unified landmass, now appears more fragmented. This suggests a more varied landscape, potentially filled with separated terrain, waterways, trails, and remote areas for players to explore once GTA 6 launches.
Port Gellhorn, located toward the western side of the map, has also been refined. Its coastline now looks more detailed and complex, giving the area a stronger coastal identity. This could make the region especially interesting for driving, boating, and exploration, as players may find more beaches, docks, bridges, and waterfront roads than earlier fan versions suggested.
In the south, the updated map gives fans a better understanding of Leonida Keys. The island chain now appears more clearly connected to the mainland, helping players imagine how cars, boats, and possibly other vehicles will move between the tropical islands and the larger state of Leonida. Since the Keys are expected to be one of the most visually distinct areas in GTA 6, this update has sparked even more curiosity about how Rockstar will use the region in missions, side activities, and free roam.
Other areas such as Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Vice City have not changed as dramatically, but they have still benefited from new information. Earlier leaks gave fans a broad idea of the GTA 6 map layout, but many locations lacked detail when viewed closely. More recent official footage and screenshots have helped fill in some of those gaps by showing streets, buildings, landmarks, and environmental details from a ground-level perspective.
As Rockstar continues to reveal more about GTA 6 ahead of release, the community map is likely to become even more accurate. Every new trailer, screenshot, preview, and gameplay detail gives map creators more material to study. Fans have already used tiny background clues, road signs, skylines, coastlines, and building layouts to improve their predictions.
Some long-running theories about the size of the GTA 6 map have also become clearer. Rockstar has confirmed that the new map is roughly twice the size of GTA 5’s world. Vice City itself is also expected to be significantly larger than Los Santos, making it one of the most ambitious urban areas Rockstar has ever built.
Even with that confirmation, some fans remain cautious about Leonida’s overall scale, especially given GTA 6’s long development cycle. However, map size alone does not tell the full story. The real test will be how dense and interactive the world feels when players finally get their hands on the game.
A larger world can be impressive, but players are especially eager to see whether GTA 6 includes more enterable interiors, detailed businesses, homes, shops, clubs, restaurants, and hidden locations. If Rockstar combines a bigger map with more indoor spaces and meaningful activities, Leonida could feel far more alive than any previous Grand Theft Auto setting.
For now, the updated GTA 6 fan map offers another exciting glimpse at what players may experience in Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. With each new update, the picture becomes clearer: GTA 6 is shaping up to deliver a huge, diverse, and highly detailed open world filled with cities, swamps, beaches, islands, national parks, and coastal towns.
