Govee has unveiled the TV Backlight 3 Pro at IFA 2025, a major upgrade to its popular screen-sync lighting lineup. Also known as model H66A0, this new kit mounts to the back of your TV to project immersive, color-accurate lighting onto the wall, matching what’s on screen for a more cinematic viewing experience.
Compared to the 2023 TV Backlight 3 Lite, the 3 Pro is 30% brighter and dramatically denser, packing 75 LEDs per meter versus 30. The upgraded RGBWWIC light array works with Govee’s 16-bit G1151 chip to deliver smoother gradients and richer, more precise colors. A new color-matching algorithm further improves accuracy, so fast-moving scenes and subtle tones look more lifelike.
The camera system has been reworked, too. Govee has slimmed down the camera unit and redesigned the base for better stability. Inside, a triple-lens setup with HDR processing boosts performance in darker scenes and improves overall color capture, helping the backlight keep pace with everything from bright sports broadcasts to shadowy movie moments.
For whole-room ambiance, DreamView support lets you sync up to 10 Govee devices, creating a unified light show across your home theater. Control options include a companion app plus hands-free voice commands via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The TV Backlight 3 Pro is also Matter-compatible, making it easier to integrate with a wide range of smart home ecosystems.
Govee plans to launch the TV Backlight 3 Pro in Europe on September 29. Pricing has not yet been confirmed. For context, the TV Backlight 3 Lite for 55–65-inch TVs currently retails around €89.99. Details on a US release are still to come.
