Govee is refreshing its popular smart lighting lineup with the new Floor Lamp 3, and while it doesn’t reinvent the look, it brings meaningful upgrades where they matter most: color range, brightness, and smarter automation.
From a design standpoint, the Floor Lamp 3 stays very close to the Floor Lamp 2, keeping the same sleek, modern floor-lamp style meant to blend into living rooms, bedrooms, and gaming setups without taking over the space. Right now, the listing appears to show only a black version, so it’s still unclear whether Govee will also release a silver option like some previous models.
The biggest changes show up in lighting performance. Thanks to Govee’s new LuminBlend+ technology, the Floor Lamp 3 supports a significantly wider color temperature range, stretching from a warm 1,000K all the way to a crisp 10,000K. That’s a major expansion compared to the Floor Lamp 2, which topped out at 6,500K and started at 2,200K. In practical terms, this means the new model can go much warmer for cozy evening lighting and much cooler for bright, daylight-style illumination—useful for reading, working, or creating a clean, modern ambience.
Brightness has also been improved. The Floor Lamp 3 is rated up to 1,900 lumens, up from 1,725 lumens on the previous generation. It’s not a night-and-day jump, but it’s enough to make the lamp more effective at filling a room with usable light, not just accent color.
On the smart features side, Govee is upgrading its AI Lighting Bot to version 2.0. The goal is a lighting system that doesn’t just follow presets, but can react to your mood or what’s happening in the room in real time, learning behavior over time for more personalized lighting.
Another notable addition is DaySync, which enables automatic adjustments to brightness, color, and color temperature depending on the time of day. This feature is designed to help lighting feel more natural throughout mornings, afternoons, and evenings without requiring constant manual tweaks. According to the details provided, DaySync is expected to be available starting April 2026.
Govee is also teasing the Ceiling Light Ultra and its upgrades, suggesting more smart home lighting announcements are on the way. If the Floor Lamp 3 is any indication, Govee’s focus is on broader light customization, improved brightness, and more intelligent automation—key features people search for when upgrading smart lighting in 2026.
