Google’s AI Mode Turns Concierge, Booking Event Tickets and Beauty Appointments for You

Google is turning Search into more than a place to look up answers. The company announced new agentic capabilities in AI Mode that can actually help you get things done, including booking event tickets and scheduling beauty and wellness appointments directly from your search.

Ask AI Mode something like, “Find me two cheap tickets for the Shaboozey concert coming up. Prefer standing floor tickets,” and it will scan multiple sites in real time to match your exact criteria. It then presents a curated list of options with current prices and takes you straight to the checkout page to complete your purchase.

These new tools are rolling out to users in the U.S. who opt into Search Labs, Google’s experimental program. Subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra also get higher usage limits for AI Mode.

This isn’t the first agentic skill set for AI Mode. Back in August, Google added the ability to find and book restaurant reservations. You can stack preferences like party size, date, time, neighborhood, and cuisine in a single request, such as, “Find me a dinner reservation for three this Friday after 6 p.m. around Logan Square. Craving ramen or bibimbap.” AI Mode checks multiple reservation platforms for real-time availability and serves up a short list of options you can book.

Google emphasizes that quality and safety remain central to its approach. The company notes that AI Mode is still an early experiment and may occasionally make mistakes, even as it builds on Google’s established safeguards.

AI Mode debuted in March as a more conversational, task-oriented layer for Search, positioned against newer search experiences from generative AI services. Since launch, it has expanded to over 180 countries and gained helpful features such as Canvas, which can create study plans and organize information across sessions in a side panel, and Google Lens integrations that let you ask about whatever is on your desktop screen.

How to try it:
– Join Search Labs and opt into AI Mode if you’re in the U.S.
– Ask for specific outcomes, like “Book a balayage appointment next Wednesday afternoon near downtown,” or “Grab two balcony seats under $120 for Friday’s show.”
– Refine with details such as price range, location, timing, and preferences to get a tailored shortlist with live availability.

With these upgrades, AI Mode is evolving from answering questions to completing tasks, bringing real-time booking and smarter planning directly into Search.
