Google Pixel 11 series leak hints at brighter, sleeker displays across the lineup
Google’s upcoming Pixel 11 family is shaping up to be a meaningful upgrade for anyone who cares about screen quality, especially when using a phone outdoors. A new leak suggests Google is preparing noticeably brighter displays for multiple Pixel 11 models, alongside a more modern look with slimmer bezels.
According to details shared by Mystic Leaks, the standard Pixel 11 is expected to reach a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. That would keep it in the same top-tier brightness range, aiming to deliver better visibility in harsh sunlight and improved punch for HDR content.
The bigger gains are rumored for the higher-end devices. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are said to jump to a peak brightness of around 3,600 nits. If accurate, that would be an increase over the current generation’s claimed 3,300-nit peak, potentially making the Pro models even easier to read outside and more impressive when watching high-contrast video.
Foldable fans may also have something to look forward to. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is rumored to offer up to 3,500 nits on the inner display, while the outer screen could reach 3,600 nits. That kind of brightness on both panels could help address a common foldable complaint—cover displays that look great indoors but struggle under direct sun.
On top of the brightness upgrades, a recent render leak points to slimmer bezels across the Pixel 11 lineup. Thinner borders can make the screen feel larger without increasing the overall size of the phone, giving the devices a more premium, edge-to-edge appearance.
If these leaks hold true, the Pixel 11 series could deliver one of the most practical screen improvements users actually notice day to day: stronger outdoor visibility, better HDR impact, and a cleaner design with reduced bezels.
