GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro Mini PC launches with Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, 64GB RAM, and OCuLink support
GMKtec has introduced another high-performance mini PC aimed at users who want desktop-class power in a compact system. The new GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro arrives with AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 400 series hardware, giving it the processing strength to handle productivity, gaming, content creation, and local AI workloads without taking up much desk space.
The EVO-X1 Pro is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, a Zen 5-based processor with 12 cores and 24 threads. It follows the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and brings a strong mix of CPU performance, integrated graphics, and dedicated AI acceleration. That combination makes the mini PC suitable for demanding multitasking, creative applications, AI tools, and even local large language model workloads.
While GMKtec recently revealed the EVO-X3 with AMD’s higher-end Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip, the EVO-X1 Pro is designed as a more compact and still very capable alternative. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 may not match the 16-core configuration of the flagship chip, but its 12-core setup should offer excellent performance for most professional and enthusiast use cases.
One of the most interesting features of the GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro is its OCuLink support. This interface allows users to connect an external graphics card, making the system much more flexible for gaming and GPU-heavy workloads. Gamers can rely on the built-in Radeon 890M graphics for lighter or moderate gaming, but those who want a serious boost can pair the mini PC with a more powerful external GPU.
Even without an external graphics card, the Radeon 890M iGPU should be capable of running many modern games at medium to high settings, depending on resolution and game optimization. That makes the EVO-X1 Pro a strong option for users who want a small gaming PC that can also serve as a workstation.
The system comes equipped with 64GB of LPDDR5 memory clocked at 6400 MT/s. This soldered memory configuration should provide enough capacity for heavy multitasking, AI processing, development work, media editing, and other memory-intensive tasks. Fast memory is especially useful in compact systems where integrated graphics and AI workloads can benefit from higher bandwidth.
For storage, GMKtec includes a 1TB drive, giving users a practical amount of space for applications, games, documents, media files, and project data. While some power users may eventually want more storage, 1TB is a solid starting point for a mini PC in this performance class.
The compact design is a major part of the appeal. The EVO-X1 Pro is built for users who want a powerful machine without the size and noise of a traditional desktop tower. It can fit easily on a desk, in a home office, in a media setup, or as part of a portable workstation environment.
GMKtec has priced the EVO-X1 Pro at 9,999 yuan, which is approximately $1,471. At that price, the mini PC is positioned as a premium compact system for enthusiasts, professionals, and AI-focused users who want strong performance in a small form factor.
With its Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, 64GB of fast LPDDR5 memory, 1TB storage, Radeon 890M graphics, and OCuLink expansion, the GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro stands out as one of the more powerful new mini PCs entering the market. It is built for users who need a compact PC that can handle gaming, productivity, creative work, and AI acceleration while still offering the option to expand graphics performance when needed.
